'Tubelight' the massive Eid release of the year starring Salman Khan, helmed by Kabir Khan has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within just seven days of its release.
The film collected an estimated Rs 4.25 crore on Wednesday, thus taking its total collection to Rs 103 crore, according to reports.
The film opened to a cracking response on Friday with a collection of Rs 20.75 crore followed by Rs 19.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.25 crore on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday;s collection were recorded at Rs 18.50 and Rs 11.75 crore respectively. However, the graph dipped on Wednesday. The Eid release, which was met with mixed reviews, is reported to be one of Salman's lowest collection.
The film is an official remake of the Hollywood film 'Little Boy' and is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War. It also features late Bollywood legend, Om Puri, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artist Martin Rey Tangu in pivotal roles. After 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Kabir Khan and Salman Khan come together to tell another heart-warming story about the power of doing good.
