Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan meets families      of farmers killed in police firing

Mandsaur has been the epicentre of Madhya Pradesh farmer's protest that engulfed the state last week, forcing Chouhan to go for a 28 hour "indefinite" fast.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met relatives of the farmers killed in police firing during the protest in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district last week.

Chouhan visited Badwan village in the violence-hit district, where six farmers were shot by the cops during the violent agitation last week over mounting debt and better crop prices.

"I am meeting the families members (of the slain farmers) and will speak to media in the evening," chouhan told to reporters in Mandsaur.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was arrested on way to Mandsaur last week. Party MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was detained , is also fasting to protest against the police firing.
