Ronit Roy, who replaced Inder Kumar as Mihir Virani in Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, was the only member of the show's cast at the prayer meet. Ronit was joined by actors Raza Murad, Mukesh Rishi, Vindu Dara Singh and comedian Sunil Pal at the prayer meet for the late actor.
Inder Kumar suffered a heart attack on Friday, his mentor Raju Kariya confirmed to news agency IANS. Mr Kariya, who is also Inder Kumar's former father-in-law, added that the actor had not been suffering from a disease.
Inder Kumar debuted in Bollywood opposite Ayesha Jhulka in 1996 film Masoom, which was a remake of Marathi film Maza Chakula. Inder Kumar was best known for his supporting roles in films like Wanted and Tumko Na Bhool Payenge with Salman Khan and Baaghi and Hathyar with Sanjay Dutt.
On television, Inder Kumar played the role of Mihir Virani in Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi after actor Amar Upadhyay quit the show.
They separated after 5 months while Sonal was pregnant with his child - their daughter Khushi. He married Kamaljeet Kaurin 2009 but they split after 2 months.
Inder Kumar married Pallavi Sarraf in 2013 with whom he had his second child, daughter Bhavana, who was born in 2014.
