                     Vegetables prices spoil Iftar spread

'Iftar dastarkhan'-the delicious Ramazan spread.primarily comprising vegetables,fruits and milk-has been impacted by the ongoing farmer's strike.

Iftar,the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramazan fast,has been affected the most by shortage of green vegetables.

"When the holy month of fasting falling in the summer heat,everyone prefers a vegetarian diet,but due to the disruption in supply of fruits and vegetables,sourcing preferred items for all has become a massive challenge,"said Ghazala Khan,a homemaker.
