Pakistan is continuing to send infiltrators into the Indian territory and today also there was an attack on the army convoy.

However,Home minister Rajnath Singh who was addressing a press conference today claimed that the surgical strike carried out by the Indian army in Pakistan occupied Kashmir in September last year had lasting benefits.

Mr Singh on Saturday said infiltration of terrorist from across the border had declined by 45 per cent after the strike as compared to the previous six months.

Hailing the NDA government's achievements in the last three months,Mr Singh said there had been significant improvement in the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere over the past few years.

"I completely trust the security forces and the people of Jammu and Kashmir......i assure that we will end terrorism in Kashmir,"

He also counted the inability of the ISIS to gain a foothold in the country though India has the world's second largest population of Muslims.

He said,"we have been successful in countering the posed by the ISIS".
