Gujrat youth congress demands to declare Cow as National animal

Amid the row over the centre's ban on the sale of cattle for slaughter at livestock markets,the Gujarat's congress youth wing on Friday demanded that the Narendra modi government should declare the cow as the national animal.

The demand came hours after Gujrat chief minister Vijay Rupani condemned the slaughter of a calf in public by youth congress workers in kerala and demanded that the congress should apologize for it.

Congress's youth wing general secretary Parthivraj kathwadia said that the BJP government in Gujrat is interested in Gaucher(grasslands)more than cows,as he alleged that it"gifted thousands of hectares of Gauchar to some industrialists in past".
